Barbara Holland

Barbara A. Holland, Ph.D., is the Director of the National Service Learning Clearinghouse, which is funded by the Learn and Serve America program of the Corporation for National and Community Service. She also holds appointments as a Senior Scholar in the Center for Service and Learning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and as Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Sydney and Australian Catholic University.
She has been an academic administrator and higher education researcher at several public universities. Her research interests focus on organizational change in higher education with special emphasis on the institutionalization of civic engagement programs, service-learning, and community-university partnerships. She has published many works on these subjects and has served as Editor of Metropolitan Universities journal since 1997.
